What’s Your News? Getting Your Press Release Out There! 0

Posted on June 11, 2017 by Justine Curtis - My Virtual Assistant

We all love free publicity and nothing will get you more exposure in the media than a well written and syndicated press release. A well-targeted release can showcase your business to your chosen target market and present you as the credible expert in their field.

But what should be in the perfect press release? Who should you send it to and how can you make it interesting enough to get it published?

Press releases need to be relevant and interesting. They need to capture not only the attention of the reader but, if you are looking for inclusion in a printed publication or for your release to be picked up by bloggers and Tweeters, they need to appeal to editors, webmasters and social networking fans.

How is what you have to say relevant to what’s going on in the news today? What angle or spin can you put on your story to make it current and ‘of the moment’?

If you’re at a loss as to where to start, relax, we can do it all for you.

At My Virtual Assistant, we provide a Press Release Creation and Submission service that includes a press release created to promote your business and submitted to online press release web sites.

Business Blogging 0

Posted on May 26, 2017 by Justine Curtis - My Virtual Assistant

Blogs are less formal than web sites allowing you to inject your own personality into the content. The snippets of information that you post are generally shorter than articles allowing you to post regular short pieces and links to other information your readers may find useful.

And the best news? As the content is regularly updated and ‘fresh’, search engines LOVE blogs. If you want to be found in the top of the search engines, it’s the quickest, easiest and most cost effective way to get there.

In addition to that there are numerous tools available that will automatically post your blog content to your social media accounts. So if you are active in LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and others, snippets of your blog posts, along with a link to read the remainder of your live article from your main blog, can appear each time you post. Now isn’t that easier than posting to multiple websites?

At My Virtual Assistant, we provide a Blog Set Up and Management service that includes the full technical set up of your blog. We also design and brand the layout of your blog so that it is in line with your current company logo, colours and image. Once set up you can add your own content or pass that task over to us along with the management of reader comments and subscribers.

Is Your Web Site Current? 0

Posted on May 21, 2017 by Justine Curtis - My Virtual Assistant

You know how it is, you spend a small fortune and a large amount of effort getting your web site up and running only for the information to become obsolete faster than you can say ‘the web site needs updating’. So you go back to the original designer who wants another small fortune for updating a few lines of text and the odd graphic, or as often happens, the designer is far too busy working on larger and more profitable projects to be concerned with making yours a priority, or worst of all, the designer has disappeared never to be seen again…

Updating your web site is actually quite straight forward, with a piece of software and your login details, your web site can be updated in minutes without any input from designers which mean that you can have up-to-date information available at all times. Now doesn’t that sound easier?

At My Virtual Assistant, we provide a Web Site Updating and Maintenance service that means you can give your web site a one-off overhaul to bring it up to date and then if appropriate let us update it regularly with new content so that your latest information is always available to your clients and prospects.

Who Answers Your Telephone? 0

Posted on May 14, 2017 by Justine Curtis - My Virtual Assistant

I’m sure like most solo professionals, entrepreneurs and small businesses you spend a fair amount of time, money and effort marketing your product or service.

Your prospect hears or sees your marketing messages, decides that they like you, trust you and finally (drum roll please) they want to work with you. They pick up the telephone to speak to you and instead of you they get a recorded voicemail saying “sorry but your call cannot be taken at the moment…”

Disgruntled prospect? A lost sale? All that marketing activity a complete waste of time, money and effort? Quite possibly.

Now how differently would that prospect have felt if that call had been taken by a real live person who was polite and courteous? You were still personally unavailable but the prospect would have advised that you were in a meeting or away from your desk and that their call would be returned as soon as you were available.

Would that prospect feel that they had been acknowledged? Would they have the impression that you had an efficient receptionist or colleague passing on your messages? Would they have a far better impression of you and your company? The details of that call would then be instantly forwarded to you by email or text to deal with as appropriate.

What if I told you that all it would have cost you was less than £1?

You can even have a two week free trial! Click here to get yours now.

Posting Small Ads and Local Ads Online 0

Posted on May 12, 2017 by Justine Curtis - My Virtual Assistant

If you sell a product or service and want the maximum exposure possible, posting to online classifieds can be a great way to get the word out. But posting ads on a regular basis to a number of sites and cities can be exceptionally time-consuming. If you can give us an ad template, a list of cities, and the rest of your requirements, we can ensure that your ads will appear on schedule. You can spend more time fulfilling orders instead of endlessly prospecting for new clients.
